The Yealink T46G is the latest state-of-art IP Phone designed for enterprises with high call volume. This small business phone system comes with a high-resolution TFT color display providing its users a rich visual experience. You can customize your SIP-T46G IP phone by configuring certain settings depending on your specific business needs.
Here are a few tips to help you customize your Yealink T46G:
Change Administrator Password
The default administrator password is “admin.” For security reasons, you should change the default administrator. Press menu (advanced) and follow the instructions to set up a new administrator’s password.
The Phone Detects Your Language
The default language of the phone user interface is English. Regardless, the phone will detect and use the same language as your web browser for the web user interface. In case your Yealink business phone does not support the language of your web browser, the web user interface will use English by default.
Lock Keypad for enhanced security
Lock the keypad on your phone temporarily when you are not using it. This feature will help you protect your phone from unauthorized use. When your keys are locked, you are only permitted to dial emergency numbers.
Classify Your Local Directory
You can store up to 1000 contacts and 50 groups in your phone’s local directory. The local directory consists of four default groups: all contacts, company, family, and friends. Local directory enables you to add new groups and contacts, edit, delete or search for a contact. You can also dial a contact number from your local directory.
Add Contacts in Three Different Ways
The Yealink T46G allows you to add contacts manually (press directory key), from call history (press history softkey), as well as from the remote phone book (press directory and then remote phone book).
Import/Export Contact Lists Via Web User Interface
You can manage your phone’s local directory via phone user interface or web user interface. However, you can only import or export the contact list via web user interface.
Blacklist Stores Up to 30 Contacts
Store the names and phone numbers for a blacklist. You can add, edit, delete or search for a contact in the blacklist directory. Contacts can also be dialed from this directory. However, it’s important to note that incoming calls from the blacklist directory are automatically rejected.
Remote Phone Books Must Be Less Than 0.5MB in Size
You can add and search local contacts, or simply dial a contact number from the corporate directory. You can configure your new phone to access up to 5 corporate directories. Contact Telco Depot if you need to have access to the corporate directory’s URL.
Manage One or Multiple Accounts
You can register one or multiple accounts on the SIP-T46G IP phone. You can also configure each line key to associate with an account, or configure multiple line keys to associate with an account.
Users can also configure system customizations such as headsets, Bluetooth, DSS keys, programmable keys, among other settings. For additional information, take a look at the Yealink T46G user guide.
